Feast of St. Faustina

When great sufferings will cause my nature to tremble, and my physical and spiritual strength will diminish, then will I hide myself deep in the open wound of the Heart of Jesus, silent as a dove, without complaint.

Our Real Work

It may be that when we no longer know what to do
we have come to our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey.
The mind that is not baffled is not employed.
The impeded stream is the one that sings.

The Stone of Hope

On the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I’d like to offer these words by John Paul Lederach which reflects on our nation’s trauma and Mr. King’s healing pillars: the urgency of now, the long arc of equality and dignity, nonviolence, and our communion with others. “In this the stone of hope is hewn.”

The Just One Project

Cartons of fresh milk, shredded cheese, and bright fruits stacked on wooden pallets filled the sun-soaked parking lot of William Orr Middle School this weekend.

What's In A Name

St. Francis of Assisi would wish everyone he encountered, “Pace e bene” or “Peace and blessing.” This project begins in this spirit. Welcome!
